Fanari Castle, which administratively belongs to the regional unit of Karditsa, is located 16 km south of Trikala, on a hill visible from a distance. It is an authentic medieval castle and one of the best-preserved examples, situated in a rather unexpected location. At this site, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Karditsa chose to install a touchsmart tourist information kiosk, featuring a touch screen on the front of the kiosk. The kiosk was transported and installed using a crane positioned outside the Castle.
